TimeBase Monitoring tool overview and user tutorials.

TimeBase Monitor provides interface to control and monitor live data being stored in TimeBase.

Launch

TimeBase Monitor is available at the Web URL: http://localhost:8011/tb

Cursors

Readers use Cursors to read from TimeBase. Cursors page displays all available cursors and their details.

  • Click + to display a selected cursor’s details:

    Cursor ID Object internal ascending sequence number. Click ID to display more details and statistics of the selected cursor.
    Subscription Subscription Entities and Types
    Opened Cursor opening time
    Last Reset Cursor last reset time and date
    Last Msg Time Last message time
    Last next() Time Last next message time
  • Messages - total number of red messages. Tracking has to be enabled. May be used for monitoring and debugging purposes.
    Refresh to update count.
  • Streams - active streams.
  • Application - application reading stream data.
  • User - user of the application reading stream data.
  • Options - cursor options.

  • Click Start Tracking to monitor messages in a live mode.
  • Refresh page to update messages count in the Messages table column.
  • Stop Tracking when not in use to save server resources.

Loaders

Writers use Loaders to writer data into TimeBase. Loaders page displays all active loaders and their details.

  • Click + to display a selected loader details:

    Loader ID Object internal sequence (ascending). Click ID to display more details and statistics of the selected loader.
    Opened Loader opening time
    Last Msg Time Last message time
    Last send() Time Last sent message time
  • Messages - total number of written messages. Tracking has to be enabled. May be used for monitoring and debugging purposes.
    Refresh to update count.

  • Application - application consuming stream data.
  • User - user of application consuming stream data.
  • Options - cursor options.

Connections

Connections page displays real-time connections’ statistics.

  • Click + to display a selected connection details.
  • Click Connection ID to display advanced details.

Active connections display average and current connection throughput.

Locks

Locks page displays all current stream Locks with their details. Read and Write locks can be attributed to a stream.

  • Write lock - only this client can write to a stream.
  • Read lock - many clients can read, none can write (edit) to a stream.

License

License page displays the current TimeBase license details.
