TimeBase Monitor provides interface to control and monitor live data being stored in the TimeBase.

Launch

  1. In QuantServer Architect highlight the Storage block
  2. Right-click to open context menu
  3. Click TimeBase Monitor to open Monitor Web client
  4. TimeBase Monitoring Tool is available at the Web URL: http://localhost:8011/tb

Cursors

Consumers use Cursors to iterate over data read from TimeBase.

Cursors page displays all available cursors and their details.

  • Click + to display a selected cursor details:
   
Cursor ID Object internal ascending sequence number. Click ID to display more details and statistics of the selected cursor.

Opened Cursor opening time
Last Reset Cursor last reset time and date
Last Msg Time Last message time
Last next() Time Last next message time
  • Messages - total number of red messages. Tracking has to be enabled. May be used for monitoring and debugging purposes.
    Refresh to update count.
  • Streams - active streams
  • Application - application consuming stream data
  • User - user of application consuming stream data
  • Options - cursor options.

Click Start Tracking to start messages live monitoring. Refresh page to update messages count in the Messages table column.

Stop Tracking when not in use to avoid wasting server resources.

Loaders

Producers use Loaders to load data into TimeBase.

Loaders page display all active writers and their details.

  • Click + to display a selected loader details:

Last send() Time Last sent message time

Connections

Connection page displays real-time connection statistics.

  • Click + to display a selected connection details.
  • Click Connection ID to display advanced details.

Active connections display average and current connection throughput.

Locks

Locks page displays all current stream Locks with their details.

Read and Write locks can be attributed to a stream.

  • Write lock - only this client can write to a stream.
  • Read lock - many clients can read, none can write (edit) to a stream.

License

License page displays current TimeBase license details.
